Warm-Edge Spacers

Warm-Edge Spacers

J.E. Berkowitz and Columbia Commercial Building Products facilities offers warm-edge insulating glass units that provide significant aesthetic and energy-efficient advantages over traditional IGU metal spacers.

Columbia Commercial Building Products offers a fully automated warm-edge tri-seal spacer by Quanex.  The secondary seal minimizes PIB migration, providing clear straight sightlines, better argon gas retention, improved sounds attenuation and minimizes condensation.

J.E. Berkowitz’s JEB 3Seal® HM Warm-Edge spacer is designed to meet the toughest commercial glazing demands, by using a high-modulus silicone secondary seal which offers 35 percent higher design strength, allowing for a narrower air cavity in an IGU and 10.4 percent more argon gas retention than standard sealants, based on the ASTM 2190 testing. An IGU incorporating the JEB 3Seal HM+ spacer will retain its argon gas longer over other insulating glass systems, maximizing energy savings and extending the units service life. It also provides an extremely straight sightline, limits PIB migration and increases the Condensation Resistant Factor (CRF).
